Epcot is currently undergoing a major renovation that will include more than 40,000 square feet of new exhibits, including a new pavilion and food court, along with a new restaurant and bar, among other changes.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, the renovations will be complete by December 2019.
Disney will also begin constructing a new park entrance and entranceway, as well as a new plaza and the area where guests can take their meals.
Disney says the renovations are part of the Epcot theme park’s “renovation and transformation plan.”
The Hollywood Reporter also says Disney plans to hire 3,000 workers to complete the work.
The Hollywood and Epcot news is not the first to surface about the planned renovations to Epcot, which opened in 1995.
In August, the Walt Disney World Resort announced that it had hired nearly 500 new employees for the next year.
