She grew up with her family in the New York area, where basketball was her passion.
She attended her first school, Columbia High School, in the East Village and majored in English.
After graduation, she attended the Bronx Academy of Music, where her father worked as a music teacher.
Her father taught her how to write and play the piano.
Renova’s first love was her mother, who is now deceased.
Her mom taught her to sing, which she did until she was 14.
Renovas first job was working as a stripper at a strip club in Manhattan, but it was not until she met her future husband, Kevin Johnson, that Renova became a strippers fan.
They married in 2003 and had four children.
They were divorced in 2006.
In 2006, Renovas husband, Johnson, died.
They had five children: two daughters, Alyssa, 16; Hannah, 15; Renee, 13; and Liza, 10.
Renovan is a dancer and dancer’s mom.
She was a member of the New Jersey Ballet until she turned pro in 2009.
In 2010, she earned the title of New Jersey Female Dance and Dance Music Star.
She is also the only dancer on the New Orleans Jazz Dance Team.
She is a New York City native who grew her career in New York as a dancer.
She started dancing at age 7.
Renvans favorite artists include Katy Perry, Taylor Swift, The Weeknd, and Katy Perry.
Her favorite songs include the Grammy-winning “Can’t Feel My Face,” “Bad Liar,” “My Heart Will Go On,” and “New Year’s Eve.”
She is currently on the board of directors of the National Ballet Theatre.
She has performed at The Grove, The National Theatre, The New York Philharmonic, The Royal Albert Hall, and The Royal Festival Hall.
Renavans first solo album, “New Years Eve,” was released in 2011.
The album is based on a memoir she wrote with her sister, Renee Johnson.
She also co-wrote the songs “New Love” and “Dirty Thoughts.”
Renova won the 2016 New York Young Artists Awards, which honor young artists from diverse backgrounds.
She was inducted into the New American Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2015.
Renna was nominated for an Oscar for Best Actress for her performance in “I’m Gonna Dance” at the Golden Globes.
She won Best Actress in a Musical for her role in “New York,” and Best Actress on Broadway for “I Am Renna.”
Renovan has been awarded a number of awards including a National Book Award, two Tony Awards, two Grammy Awards, a Tony Award, a Grammy Award, the Lifetime Achievement Award, and the National Book Critics Circle Award for Lifetime Achievement in Dance.
Renva has been nominated for four Grammy Awards including Best New Artist, Best New Song, and Best Dance Recording.
Renvan is a member to the National Endowment for the Arts and the American Dance Music Association.
She currently resides in the U.S. and is pursuing a Masters in International Studies at Columbia University.

She lives in New Jersey with her husband and their three children.
Rena is currently writing her first novel.
She wrote it after spending three years with the author, Daniel Handler.

Her first book, “Million Reasons” was published in 2005 and has been translated into a number the languages of over 20 countries.
