Three years after the completion of Epcot’s refurbishment, a major renovation project is finally underway.
According to The Walt Disney World Resort’s Blog, Epcot will soon be home to a new retail center and dining hall.
The announcement was made in a blog post by the company’s vice president of public affairs, Scott Siegel, on July 31.
“With the renovation of Epchcot’s dining and retail spaces, guests will have more opportunities to enjoy our brand and its merchandise,” he wrote.
“In addition, new restaurants and shops will be open in the Epcot dining and dining rooms.”
Epcot also will have a new, full-service bar, spa, and outdoor seating area.
In addition to the retail center, Siegel also noted that a new pavilion, which is currently being built, will house a new outdoor patio, “as well as additional space for dining, entertainment, and social events.”
While the restaurant and retail centers are not yet complete, they are expected to be completed by late 2019.
