New arena renovations have been added to the list of major costs for the New Orleans Pelicans.
The Pelicans announced that a $1.3 billion renovation project for the Philips Arena renovation project will cost $1 billion to complete.
The project is estimated to be completed in 2018, and will include:A $1 million renovation of the flooring in the Philips arenaA $800,000 refurbishment of the arena flooring, the arena signage, the team’s concession stand, and the team-owned concession stand.$500,000 for an overhaul of the concourse, suites, concession stands, and other amenities, including the team mascotA $100,000 upgrade of the stadium’s scoreboardThe renovation of Philips Arena has been a long time coming for the Pelicans.
The team had been eyeing the site for years, but the arena was deemed too expensive for a renovation.
The $1,843 million renovation project included renovations to the arena, the stadium, the suites, and concessions, as well as the use of a new technology to control fans’ actions.
The project also included a new concourse that will allow for more luxury seating.
The team will also be updating its team store to make it easier to access merchandise and merchandise concessions.
The renovations also will include a $250,000 renovation to the team merchandise store.
The renovation will be done at a cost of $350 million, and includes upgrades to the stadium.
This includes upgrades in the area that will include improvements to the scoreboard, concession stand and concession kiosks.
The cost of the project will be $1 trillion.
The Pelicans are looking to break even with the project, which is expected to cost between $400 million and $450 million, per Sports Business Journal.
