BATHROOMS are being repaired to prevent a potential collapse in a Texas church after an explosion last month.
The Associated Press first reported that the Rev. Terry Allen was among the workers fixing up the interior of the sanctuary when it caught fire in the small Texas town of Allen’s Lake.
It was unclear what caused the blaze, which left several people dead and dozens of homes damaged.
But a spokeswoman for the Baptist Diocese of Bexar County said the church is being repaired as a precaution.
The church has reopened.
Allen’s Lake has about 10,000 people, including many in his church.
